A Sweet and Intimate Wedding at Sweet Treats Event Center

Kanesha and Daniel's wedding was such a sweet and intimate affair, and it was an honor to be a part of it! From the sweet first look to cleaning some cake off of them before portraits (haha), it was a wedding that I won't soon forget! It also adds to the fun when the venue is only 10 minutes from your house. :)

Nestled in the Arkansas River Valley, the Sweet Treat Event Center, where the wedding was held, stands as a charming venue, offering the perfect setting for intimate weddings. With its rich history as a former church and a timeless ambiance created by the sloping wood floors, vaulted ceilings, fine woodwork, and a central fireplace, this building, dating back to 1889, sets the stage for unforgettable celebrations. It is always so enjoyable to photograph there!

Kanesha and Daniel's wedding was filled with joy and love. As their wedding photographer, I had the pleasure of capturing their beautiful moments both inside and outside the stunning church. Beyond the romance between Kanesha and Daniel, their wedding day was also a celebration of family. Kanesha's daughters played an integral part in the day's events, adding an extra layer of sweetness to the occasion. The moments shared between Kanesha and her daughters were heartwarming. I smiled so much while editing the photos and coming across those sweet moments that I was able to capture.

While Arkansas can have really hot days in June, it wasn't too hot for Kanesha and Daniel, especially in the shade outside the front of the venue. The late afternoon sunshine always provides a perfect lighting for some of my favorite photos. I was truly thankful that the sun stayed out for us during the outdoor portraits.

Kanesha had her hair and makeup done by my favorite and own personal hairstylist, Jenna Blackard. She owns The Honey Hive Salon, and if you are looking for someone in Clarksville, she and her team are amazing! Another favorite of mine is Daniella's Bridal, located here in Clarksville. That gorgeous dress Kanesha is wearing came from there, and it's a must-visit when looking for your perfect dress!
