Peggy + Matthew
Small Church Wedding & Bell Park Pavilion Reception
What an amazing start to the 2023 wedding season!!
From a small country church wedding to a beautiful reception pavilion at Bell Park, this wedding was definitely one to remember; there were so many special touches, and this couple was just perfect together.
I have known Peggy for a while, and it meant so much to me when she messaged me to book before she even had a wedding date to make sure she picked one that I was available for. I loved getting to chat with her about her wedding, whether to have a first look or not and to help with the timeline of the day.
Something that was neat is how Peggy and Matthew constantly came back and interacted with each other throughout the day; even whenever they ended up getting separated and visiting with guests, they would still come and find themselves together again. It really was the sweetest thing and such a showing of their love.
Peggy's flowers were so beautiful and added such a pop of color on a January day. In fact, their whole wedding was a pop of color, which made it so much fun to photograph! Another fun fact is that they happened to get married on my daughter's 10th birthday, so that was fun. I will never forget their anniversary!!
The church was small, so just a few people came to the ceremony, and then they had a bigger reception later in the afternoon at Bell Park. Not only did this let them get married in a place that was sentimental to them, but it also made it easy for us to spend time on the photos and ensure we got all the portraits they wanted without the stress of people waiting on them in the reception.
Belle Park is truly a beautiful place; whether you're wanting a little bit of architecture in the back of your photos or a beautiful view, it is the place to go. I loved all of the natural elements, and they even had a gazebo!
The pavilion where the reception was had all-around glass doors, so the lighting was so amazing, along with the feel of being out in nature. It was also big enough to hold all the guests and still have room for dancing and walking around easily. You can bet that I will be putting this venue on my list to share with my couples who are still looking for a venue in the Fort Smith area.
