Horsehead Lake is just outside of Clarksville and may now be one of my favorite lakes around this area. But anywhere that includes family time and being on the water is good for the soul!
We went on a Friday and so there was no one else around and only one other boat on the lake. The water was nice and clean and felt good. the girls all did their fair share of swimming. We took our new kayaks out and when the girls were not swimming they were hooked behind us on tubes. This sounds a lot better than it was because pulling someone with a kayak is actually a lot of work haha!
Not only was the water nice and there weren't a lot of people but it is also a beautiful lake with a bluff line on one side that you can paddle to and be in some shade. the rest of the lake is lined with trees and a few pull-offs here and there along with the actual park and swim area.
